STAR TV India launched the Asli (True) HD versions of its key channels – STAR Plus , STAR World , STAR Movies and STAR Gold in the Indian market. This is the first time in popular entertainment that a mass general entertainment channel like Star Plus is going HD in India. All these channels are going to offer 1080i Picture Quality with 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound.
Tata Sky+ became the first DTH Company in India to provide STAR HD Channels on DTH Platform. All the HD Channels are currently showing HD Content without any AD(s) Break & available for All Tata Sky + HD Customers in base pack of Rs. 50 without any price increase. As of now Tata Sky+ Base HD pack is having 7 Full HD Channels including 4 STAR HD Channels, Discovery World HD, National Geographic HD and Event based SetMax HD providing IPL 2011 broadcast in FULL HD
TATA Sky+ HD users can enjoy Star Plus HD, Star World HD, Star Gold HD & Star Movies HD at channel no. 104, 202, 302 & 342 respectively.

This is a great initiative by Star group. They are providing the real contents and it is pleasure to watch these channels quality. Dish TV need to learn the definition of HD first instead of false advertising of their upscaled channels. Dish tv is making fool of their customers.

tatasky is also a part of star tv at a share of 20%. so it can telecast true star tv hd. tatasky rocks dishtv sucks.
